Guastavino's, Manhattan (3)

Under the Queensboro Bridge, Manhattan.
This space was once a market, then a garage. For a few years now it's been a restaurant called Guastavino's with what I hear is bad food. The fabulous tile ceiling is by Rafael Guastavino's company, which also did the ceilings at the Oyster Bar in Grand Central and lots of other places.

At my first glance at these photos, I was thinking that they had been taken at Grand Central Station!

I love the photos, but if you are going to criticize a restaurant you really should try the food for yourself.
