Frank: So far the shores of the Gowanus are not lined with huge luxury house-barges, as seen in the first photo. But this could start happening any day now.

David, thanks for the pointer. When I first looked at those canal-side tables, I mistook them for a commercial establishment — largely because I thought the Gowanus Yacht Club and Beer Garden actually had the cheekiness to be canal-side. But now I see it's a few blocks away, and health regulations may even prevent such cheek from placing a restaurant along side the Gowanus.

This is David from Malta. Tears from my eyes seeing this legendry factory fading out. A legendry period dating back to decades of years of the giant Renault. Who knows how many cars and employees moved on that land? It's a pitty that Renault hasn't converted it into a meuseum of its own. Should Luois Renault see all this, he wouldn't be happy for sure. Any how, well done for these photos as they capture the scene well. I would also like to see the front facade of the fatory where there is the Renault Logo on the roof top. Thanks and well done.

This is tear-jerking...horrible, sputtering outrage...

The factory has been completly destroyed now. Just a big lump of dirt left. Only le bridge and the main entrance still stand.
The project for the new museum has been stalled because of administrative obstacles. The museum's future collections will be sent to Venice Italy.
The factory is gone and nothing will replace it. The perfect example of french burocracy.
Such a disgrace...

It is a true super coputer I built one large 1 tons of memory i will rebuild the factory again and place it down there with all the nessary equipment i can fine the only problem is building the scanners and even more the back in time mecinesum

I hate the french government for doing this and taking away from the life of Code: Lyoko. unbelievably, this has united Lyoko fans throughout the US, who are all forming mini ARMIES! YES! i love code lyoko too. it is my favorite show. and it is a little sickening to let them destroy the factory and not continue with what they were planning. they have let the factory die in vain. a lot of people looked forward to seeing that factory live on, myself included. i belive that the factory might not have been destroyed if the show had gained a cult following. but getting enraged about it will get us nowhere. someone needs to take steps toward getting the original blueprints of the factory and rebuilding it, making it better than it was before. mabey turn it into a museum dedicated to Renault or code lyoko. as much as i hate the fact that they destroyed the Renault factory, you people are starting to lose your grip on reality. that factory has been around since the 30s, i doubt it would be able to hold a large supercomuter made for modern times. also, the supercomputer is a Quantum computer. quantum computers don't exist yet. they have not yet perfected that kind computing technology. IT'S JUST FICTION. code lyoko was made for your entertainment. dont take it out of preportin.

Don't think of it as them tearing down an important part of Code: Lyoko. Think of it like Code: Lyoko was to remember the factory and be a tribute to it by basing the story all around it.
