renault

Ile Seguin, in the Seine at Boulogne-Billancourt, edge of Paris.
They’re tearing down a Renault factory dating back to the ’30s that covered the one-kilometer-long island. It will be replaced with, among other things, an art museum designed by Tadao Ando.

— Architectural proposals for the island
— But why not build an ocean liner on it?
— Inside the factory, closed since 1992: one, two, three.
— Demolition photos
